British trade dollar
The British Trade dollars ( Engl. British Trade dollar also briefly Trade Dollar ) is from 1895 to 1935 embossed silver British dollars , which for trade in Southeast and East Asia was coined.
The British trade dollar was mainly minted in the mints of Bombay and Calcutta , rarely also in London . There are later reprints in gold and proof .
The USA and Japan also issued trade dollars in the 19th century for trade in Southeast Asia.
