Traianus (bodyguard)
Traianus was a bodyguard of the Eastern Roman general Belisarius . In the years 537/38 he distinguished himself during the siege of Rome by the Goths . In 541 he accompanied Belisarius to Mesopotamia , where Belisarius fought against the Sassanids . Traianus is mentioned several times in Prokopios .
