Trallpunk

Trallpunk is a Swedish punk style that is defined by catchy melodies and a fast rhythm and originated in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Often this punk subgenre also contains politically oriented texts. Trallpunk was influenced by melodic hardcore . The first part of the word “Trall” comes from the Swedish language and means something like melody or rhythm. The early trallpunk bands were inspired by better-known bands like Strebers or Charter 77 and less well-known bands like Puke, Happy Farm or Kravallsubban Lever .
