Trans Euro Trail

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Trans Euro Trail (TET) is an approximately 51,000 km long GPX off-road motorcycle route through Europe. The trail consists of many unpaved paths that you are officially allowed to drive on - according to the respective state laws and regulations. So-called volunteer route keepers ("Linesmen") keep the route in their country up to date and are supported by everyone who drives there with their personal feedback.

The TET has two major sections:

There is a code of conduct that has been translated into all European languages:

  1. Respect the ways
  2. Respect the rural communities as you pass through
  3. Respect the environment

The TET is a non-profit organization under British law (CIC). The trail and the logo are protected by trademark law to prevent theft and abuse.

The track is available for download free of charge.

The TET was inspired by the Trans America Trail (TAT).
