Transatlantic Conference Agreement
The Transatlantic Conference Agreement (TACA for short) is a shipping conference based in Crawley , Great Britain .
General and history
The conference was founded in 1992 as TAA (Transatlantic Agreement) and renamed TACA in 1994.
In 1998 the conference became more well known when it was fined 564 million DM after an investigation by the EU for alleged illegal price fixing. The penalty was overturned in 2003 by the European Court of Justice.
