Transearch International was founded on April 2nd, 1982 with six offices and 20 consultants. The group quickly grew to 25 offices in 1989 and in 1990 Executive Recruiter News (ERN) named it the 10th largest executive search company worldwide. In 1998 the company had 68 offices in 40 countries and was the second largest network in the world in terms of the number of representative offices . After the dot-com bubble burst, most executive search companies experienced a decline in demand for executive search services. This development lasted until 2004. In 2006, Transearch recorded 29% growth over the previous year, 10% above the average growth in the executive search industry. In 2007 the turnover of Transearch International Partners plc was. $ 131 million. The Transearch Children's Aid Foundation was founded in 2006 and supports children in developing countries .

Transearch International Deutschland GmbH, based in Stuttgart, is the German subsidiary of Transearch International Partners plc.
