The Trans System GmbH is a manufacturer of high-performance modules for general cargo, container and carton conveyor systems as well as parcel and baggage handling systems based in Harsum Lower Saxony. Complete conveyor lines are also supplied for complex in-house logistics systems. The parent company is the Transnorm Group GmbH in Harsum.
history
In 1957 a special machine construction company was founded. In 1969 the company was renamed to its current name and concentrated on the development of a complete modular system of material flow technology. In 1971 the curved belt conveyor with a special belt guide system developed by Transnorm was patented worldwide.
In 1984, Transnorm System Ltd. was established as the first subsidiary abroad. founded in England. In 1989, the wholly-owned subsidiary Transnorm System Inc. was founded in Arlington , Texas / USA and expanded as a production site. In 1994, Transnorm System Sdn was founded. Bhd. in Kluang , Malaysia, as a further production facility to open up the Asian markets.
In 2007 the TCC (Transnorm Competence Center) opened at the headquarters in Harsum as a development and training center.
In October 2018 it was announced that Honeywell International intends to take over the company.
