Transparency International Germany e. V. is a German non-governmental organization based in Berlin that was founded in 1993. As the German chapter of the umbrella organization Transparency International , the non-profit organization aims to fight and contain corruption . The association consists of 1247 members who work in eleven regional and 16 working groups across Germany.

Structure and way of working

The main goal of the organization is to raise public awareness of the harmful effects of corruption. Transparency Germany does not pursue individual cases, but works on a political level and tries to form coalitions with other actors. According to the organization, corruption can only be fought effectively and sustainably if the state, business and civil society work together.

The voluntary members of the association are spread across Germany in eleven regional groups. who work on-site for more transparency in state politics as well as at the municipal level. The positions and demands are developed in the 16 working groups of the association. The exchange of content within the organization also takes place here. The working groups of Transparency Germany work on the following topics:
