Local club
Local association (often abbreviated with OV ) is a name for the usually lowest division of a party or an association or club in Germany . It is particularly common in the SPD (and associations closely related to social democracy such as workers' welfare , trade unions ) as well as the German Red Cross and the German Beekeeping Association , but it is also found occasionally in other associations. As a unit under the local association, the SPD often still knows the so-called department .
Local clubs are often all local clubs without higher levels (e.g. sports club , shooting club , music club, traditional club, traditional costume club , fire brigade club ). Most of the time, coexistence in the locality or municipality is shaped by these associations.
Local association is used analogously by the CDU , FDP , Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and Die Linke . In some district associations that include the area of an independent city, the term "Stadtbezirksverband" is also used.
The next level is usually the district association, then the district association, the regional association and the federal association .
In Switzerland there is no uniform regulation, as there is no party in every municipality in Switzerland. Mostly they are referred to as local, district or district sections, whereby this expression can also refer to cantonal parties.
