Hartmut Bäumer

Hartmut Bäumer (born May 10, 1948 in Siegen ) is a German lawyer and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). From 1986 to 1990 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . From 1999 to 2000 he was state board spokesman for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Hessen .

Life

Bäumer attended the Protestant elementary school in Freudenberg and the state high school in Betzdorf an der Sieg. In 1967 he moved to Wyk auf Föhr , where he graduated from the state high school for modern languages . After completing his military service - he later refused to do military service - he studied law in Tübingen and Frankfurt am Main . There he passed the first state examination in law in 1974 and the second state examination in 1977 in Wiesbaden . He then received a scholarship at the École nationale d'administration in Paris and in the prefecture of Marseille .

Bäumer worked as a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main for about a year before he was appointed judge at the labor court in Offenbach by the Hessian Minister of Social Affairs on April 2, 1979 . Soon after being appointed judge for life in 1981, he took leave for parental leave and moved to Munich .

From 1986 to 1990 Bäumer was one of the first green members of the state parliament in Bavaria . From 1990 to 1993 he was a member of the Bavarian Constitutional Court . From 1991 to 1999 he was the district president in Gießen and was particularly committed to administrative reform. He then worked as a co-founder and managing partner of the “Bridges” consulting agency in Berlin . In 2001 he was appointed to the government commission “Future of the Public Service, Public Service of the Future” in North Rhine-Westphalia , in 2005 to the inquiry commission “A Future for Berlin” of the Berlin House of Representatives ; From 2009 to 2011 he was a member of the non-partisan specialist working group on municipal financial equalization in Hesse.

After the formation of the green-red state government in Baden-Württemberg , he became head of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure as Ministerial Director in 2011 . In 2014 he retired.

Bäumer was a member of the supervisory board of the Heinrich Böll Foundation . and since 2016 Deputy Chairman of Transparency International Germany . He was elected chairman there on June 15, 2019.
