Daniela Wagner (born April 4, 1957 in Darmstadt ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

education and profession

Daniela Wagner attended the Georg Büchner School in Darmstadt from 1968 to 1977 . After graduating from high school, she studied German and English from 1977 to 1978 for the teaching post in Frankfurt am Main. From 1979 to 1981 she studied politics, law and economics at the University of Oldenburg and from 1982 to 1988 at the TH Darmstadt . She finished her studies without a degree.

Daniela Wagner is married to Darmstadt's Mayor Jochen Partsch and has had a daughter since 1978.

Daniela Wagner became a member of the Greens and worked part-time from 1981 to 1987 as the parliamentary group manager of the Darmstadt-Dieburg district parliamentary group of the Greens. From 1985 to 1994 she was a city ​​councilor in Darmstadt (with interruptions due to rotation ).

From 1987 to 1994 she was a member of the Hessian state parliament . She ran in the constituency of Darmstadt-Stadt I , but was elected via the state list of the Greens. On November 15, 1994, she gave up the state parliament mandate after she was elected head of the department for schools, day-care centers, housing, women and intercultural affairs in the city of Darmstadt. In this department she was also temporarily responsible for environmental issues. In 2006 she resigned as a city councilor.

From 1999 until her resignation on April 5, 2000, she was state board spokeswoman for the Hessian Greens. In 2005, Wagner unsuccessfully ran for the Greens as Lord Mayor of Darmstadt.

For the Bundestag election 2009 she was a direct candidate in the Bundestag constituency of Darmstadt and was nominated on a top spot on the state list. It moved into the German Bundestag via the state list. She was the spokesperson for building and living for the parliamentary group of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . However, she did not manage to move back in the 2013 federal election .

From December 2013 to November 2017, Wagner was next to Kai Klose chairman of the Hessian Greens .

She was nominated for the 2017 federal election as a direct candidate in the Darmstadt constituency and top candidate on the state list of the Hessian Greens .

Since October 2017, Wagner has again been a member of the German Bundestag and spokeswoman for urban development in the Bundestag faction of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen .
