Frank-Peter Kaufmann (born March 9, 1948 in Berlin ) is a German politician with Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen and a member of the Hessian state parliament . From 1993 to 1995 he was state board spokesman for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Hessen .

Kaufmann passed his Abitur in Frankfurt am Main in 1966 and then studied physics. He graduated from the University of Frankfurt am Main with a diploma in 1970 and was then employed by the University of Frankfurt am Main from 1971–1983.

1984–1989 he was first councilor of the city of Dietzenbach and 1989–1993 first district councilor of the Offenbach district .

Since April 5, 1995 he has been a member of the Hessian state parliament and political spokesman for the budget and Frankfurt Airport . Kaufmann is a member of the budget committee, the main committee and the sub-committee for financial controlling and administrative control.

His constituency office is in Dietzenbach and he is running for election to the 2008 state parliament for his party in constituency 45, Offenbach Land II. He is fourth on the state list.

In the state elections in Hesse in 2013 , he ran in the Offenbach Land II constituency . Here he was defeated by Ismail Tipi . However, he succeeded in entering the state parliament via a list of the party. After the formation of the black-green coalition in Hesse in 2013 he was appointed as successor to Jörg-Uwe Hahn Member of the Supervisory Board of Fraport . Kaufmann had previously spoken out against the expansion of the airport.
