Bamenda Trappist Abbey
The Trappist Abbey Bamenda (Latin Abbatia Beatae Mariae de Bamenda ) has been a Cameroonian monastery in Bamenda , in the archbishopric of the same name , since 1963 .
history
The English Trappist Abbey of Mount Saint Bernard founded the Bamenda Abbey in West Cameroon (300 kilometers from the sea, 1300 meters above sea level) in 1963 , which became a priory in 1971 and an abbey in 1976 .
