The Trappistinnenkloster Benaguacil is since 1965 Spanish monastery of Trappist nuns in Benaguacil in the province of Valencia .

history

The in since 1265 Valencia existing (of monastery Vallbona founded) Cistercian monastery of Santa Maria de Gratia Dei (also: La Zaidía or: La Zaydía ) was in 1954 Cistercian Order incorporating the Strict Observance (Trappist). The settlement, which had always been plagued by floods, was given up (after another flood in 1957) and moved to a newly built monastery in Benaguacil (25 kilometers northwest of Valencia) in 1965.
