Gossip fountain

The Tratschweiberbrunnen is a listed fountain on the main square of the Styrian town of Frohnleiten (in front of house number 22). It was created by the artist Edwin Eder (1927–2013) from Frohnleiten . The motif is said to go back to a legend according to which the women washing their clothes there (laundry women) are petrified due to their gossip.
