NGC 3941 is a lenticular galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is an estimated 42 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 45,000 ly. In the center of the galaxy is a supermassive black hole with 141 million solar masses .
The object was discovered by William Herschel on March 19, 1787 .
