NGC 3930 is a barred spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBc in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 42 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered on March 17, 1787 by the astronomer William Herschel with his 18.7-inch reflector telescope.
