NGC 3928 is a dwarf galaxy with extensive star formation regions of the Hubble type E? in the constellation Great Bear in the north star sky . It is estimated to be 47 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 20,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 3893 , NGC 3896 , NGC 3906 , NGC 3950 .
The object was discovered on February 9, 1788 by the astronomer William Herschel with his 18.7-inch reflector telescope.
