NGC 3922 = NGC 3924 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0-a in the constellation Great Bear in the northern sky . It is an estimated 43 million light years away from the Milky Way .

The object was discovered on March 9, 1788 by the astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
