NGC 3898 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Great Bear that is listed in the New General Catalog . It is estimated to be 56 million light years from the Milky Way and about 70,000 ly in diameter.
The galaxy was discovered in 1789 by the astronomer William Herschel using his 18.7-inch mirror telescope.
