NGC 3875 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Leo on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 309 million light years from the Milky Way , has a diameter of about 90,000 ly, and is a member of the Leo galaxy cluster Abell 1367 .
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 3860 , NGC 3862 , NGC 3873 , IC 2955 .

The object was discovered by Wilhelm Herschel on April 27, 1785 .
