NGC 3890 = NGC 3939 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type Sc in the constellation Dragon in the northern sky . It is an estimated 310 million light years from the Milky Way .

The object was discovered on December 12, 1797 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
