Wedding interview

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The wedding interview (also marriage preparation interview ) is understood to be a gathering prior to a church wedding . Often the obligatory marriage preparation protocol (Catholic) or the marriage registration (Protestant) is created here, as well as the course of the wedding service is discussed. Several wedding interviews can take place in advance of a wedding.

Catholic Church

As a rule, the conversation is held between the pastor responsible for the wedding and the bride and groom. The marriage preparation protocol is in the Roman Catholic Church official minutes of marriage preparation and marriage. In most cases, the process and the worship service framework of the wedding is discussed in a second conversation.

Protestant churches

In Protestant churches, the wedding talk is intended to register and plan the wedding service. As a rule, the following documents must be submitted: ID card, baptism and confirmation certificate or entry in the family register, confirmation that the marriage has been registered with the registry office or the presentation of the marriage certificate. A letter of approval ( dimissoriale ) must be brought with you to the wedding outside your home parish .
