Trauma was started in 1992 as a side project by Girls-under-Glass members Volker Zacharias and Hauke Harms. Musically, the project moves between New Age and EBM. Strong influences include Klaus Schulze and Clock DVA .
In 1993 the first album Fractal 1 was released on the Machinery label. The second album "Construct" from 1995 was produced by Peter Spilles ( Project Pitchfork ) among others . Spilles also worked on the piece Le Chant de Baleine ("Whale Song"), which can also be found on the album "Construct". By 1998 Trauma released three albums and one maxi.
