Trax is a strategy game that was invented by David Smith in New Zealand in 1980 and also came onto the German game market in 1981. The game consists of 64 square tiles, each with a white and a red line embossed. The (apparently) simple goal is to lay down the game pieces in such a way that all tiles form a closed line in one of the colors.

The game is distributed today by the company Tantrix .
