Treideldamm (Koenigsberg)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The towing dam in Königsberg was used for towing in front of Königsberg i. Pr. .

Laid out on the right bank of the Pregel by Kneiphöf councilor Lorenz Goebel (1621–1699) in 1682 , the “Holstein Treideldamm” was extended to the Frischen Haff in 1736 . Past the roller mill (Königsberg) , the large grain silo and the pulp factory, it led via Groß Holstein Castle and Moditten to Juditten . The dam was a popular stroll, especially in spring.
