The Oder-Havel-Rad- und Wanderweg cycle and hiking trail is generally only referred to as a towpath . It runs largely along the old tow route of the Finow Canal . The towpath between Finowfurt and Niederfinow is passable, well developed and signposted. In some places it does not run directly on the Finow Canal due to topographical conditions or ownership.
