A trekking bike (also trekking bike or ATB , English All Terrain Bike) is a bike with full equipment and usually 28-inch tires , which is designed for roads and light terrain (gravel, forest paths).

Trekking is the word for long-distance hiking, even beyond alpinism in the narrower sense (mountaineering), and trekking bikes were originally derived from mountain bikes for bike tours on poorer slopes and off-road.
