Treniota ( Eng . Trinota ; approx. 1210-1264) was a Grand Duke of Lithuania (1263-1264). Treniota was the nephew of Mindaugas , the only king of Lithuania . Treniota was ruler of Samogitia ( Žemaitija ). At the end of summer or early autumn of 1261, Treniota encouraged King Mindaugas to give up Christianity and continue the war with the German Order .

Treniota Street ( Treniotos gatvė ) is a street named after Treniota in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius , in the Žvėrynas district .
