The loyalty badge of the DRK of the GDR was an award of the German Red Cross in the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was donated in two stages, silver and gold , in 1971 and was first awarded on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the DRK in the GDR. It was awarded for membership of the DRK, with the silver level for 20 years and the gold level for 30 years of membership in the DRK.

Appearance and wearing style

The silver-plated or gold-plated pin badge is round, has a diameter of 19 mm and shows a white central medallion with a red enamelled cross on its front. This is enclosed by a writing ring with the inscription: DEUTSCHES ROTES KREUZ (above) and DDR (below). The writing ring itself is in turn enclosed by a radial wreath. The badge was worn on the left breast pocket.
