Triarius Maternus
Triarius Maternus Lascivius was a Roman politician and senator of the 2nd century AD.
Maternus' civil service career is largely unknown. It is known that he was legatus iuridicus ( chairman of the courts) of Asturia and Gallaecia and that he held the ordinary consulate in 185 . The Historia Augusta reports that the Praetorians wanted to make Maternus emperor on January 3, 193; But Maternus fled to Emperor Pertinax and finally left Rome.
His son was probably Aulus Triarius Rufinus , full consul in 210.
