Trinidad cigars are among the most exclusive cigars in Cuba , they were produced in the El Laguito factory in Havana from 1969 and until the end of 1998 Fidel Castro gave them away exclusively to official guests of state visits, to foreign diplomats or to well-known artistic personalities.

Trinidad cigars have only been publicly available in stores since 1999. Originally there was only one size, since 2003 there have been several formats. The special thing about these formats is that they are only used for Trinidad cigars. The cigar was named after the city of La Santísima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), which was built in the 16th century, is located on the south coast of Cuba and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO .
