The Trinity Lake, formerly Clair Engle Lake, a reservoir in California . It is fed by the Trinity River and dammed by the Trinity Dam, a 164 m high earthfill dam. The approximately 30 km long lake has a capacity of 3.02 km³ and is one of the largest water reservoirs in California.
From 1964 to 1997 the lake was officially called Clair Engle Lake, after Senator Clair Engle .
