Drinking tablet

Drinking tablets (disperstabletten) are tablets for the preparation of an oral solution . They are uncoated tablets or film- coated tablets which are dissolved in water before use. The solution can be slightly clouded by auxiliaries used in the manufacture of the tablets. According to the monograph in Ph. Eur. 5th edition, drinking tablets must disintegrate in water at a temperature between 15 and 25  ° C within three minutes.
