history

In 1987, after almost ten years of preparation, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris got together and recorded a joint album of traditional country music, which was released under the name Trio . The voices of the three singers harmonized remarkably well and the album received excellent reviews. The sales figures were accordingly good. Then the three went on tour as a trio. In the same year they were awarded the Grammy "Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group". In 1988 they received the CMA Award "Vocal Event of the Year".

Twelve years later, in 1999, Parton, Ronstadt and Harris got together again. Supported by well-known musicians, the album Trio II was recorded, which was equally successful.
