Country Music Association Awards

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Country Music Association Awards ("CMA Awards") are presented annually by the Country Music Association (CMA). The most successful country interpreters and songwriters of the past year will be honored, the most coveted award is that for the “Entertainer of the Year”.

With the exception of 2005, when the ceremony was held at Madison Square Garden in New York , the awards are presented in Nashville in late autumn each year . The CMA Award Show has been televised nationwide since 1968 . In 1991, George Bush was the first ever US president to be a guest.
