Luke Bryan
Luke Bryan (born July 17, 1976 in Leesburg , Georgia ; real name Thomas Luther Bryan ) is an American country singer.
Career
Luke Bryan got his first guitar at the age of 14 and was soon playing in the clubs around his hometown. He actually wanted to go to Nashville , the country music capital, as soon as possible when his brother died in a car accident, but he decided to study at Georgia Southern University to be closer to his family and the local farm. At the university he continued with music, founded a band and also produced his own album. After graduation, he stayed with the family until his father asked him to try Nashville.
In 2001 Luke Bryan went to "Music City". He worked for a music publisher and also appeared as a singer, where he was eventually discovered and signed by Columbia . In October 2006 he released his first EP with his own name as a title. His debut single All My Friends Say was released in the summer of 2007 and was immediately very successful. It immediately hit the top 5 on the country and official charts. His first album I'll Stay Me soon came in at number 2 on the country albums. The album and single both went gold .
Two years later, the final breakthrough came with the album Doin 'My Thing , which again reached number 2 in the country area and also made it into the top 10 of the album sales charts . The first album single Do I also missed number 1 in the country charts, but both of the following songs, Rain Is a Good Thing and Someone Else Calling You Baby, made it to the top. The first two releases were million sellers. He increased this success again in 2011 with the album Tailgates & Tanlines , which became his first country number one album and sold over two million times. The album also spawned country number one singles three and four. The song Country Girl went double platinum with triple, Drunk on You and I Don't Want This Night to End and for all three placements in the pop charts at number 20.
In 2013 Luke Bryan first released the album Spring Break ... Here to Party , which consists of the songs from the first four Spring Break EPs, which were released between 2009 and 2012, and a bonus song. It earned him the first number one position on the official album charts. The second followed that same year with the release of the fourth studio album, Crash My Party . It even sold two million times within a few months, three songs from it, the title song, That's My Kind of Night and Drink a Beer , were million-sellers, the latter two also number one hits among country songs.
In the following year, he continued the spring break series with another EP, which was the fourth best-seller in the country album charts and with Play It Again brought his seventh best-seller in the country singles and his ninth million seller.
