Brett Eldredge
Brett Ryan Eldredge (born March 23, 1986 in Paris , Illinois ) is an American country singer .
Career
At the age of 16, Brett Eldredge became a fan of Brooks & Dunn and brought him to country music. In addition, his cousin Terry Eldredge was first in the backing band of Dolly Parton and then became a member of the successful bluegrass band The Grascals . After college in Chicago, he followed Brett his cousin and moved to Middle Tennessee State University to be able to make music in the Nashville area while studying .
There he was discovered and supported by Byron Gallimore . A contract as a songwriter followed shortly after a performance in Nashville, a record deal with Atlantic Records . With his debut single Raymond , he had a hit in 2010 that stayed in the US country charts for over six months . However, the career took off slowly and it was not until the third year that the third single Don't Ya had the real breakthrough. The song became a number one hit on the country radio charts and a million seller. It reached number 30 in the official single charts . This paved the way for the first album: Bring You Back was released in 2013 and reached number 2 in the country charts and contained two more hit singles, Beat of the Music and Mean to Me . The releases also earned him three more gold records . He was also named "Best New Artist" at the 2014 CMA Awards .
The following year Eldredge went on tour with Darius Rucker and released his second album Illinois . It reached number 1 on the country charts and number 3 on the Billboard 200 . With Lose My Mind it contained another gold single. Wanna Be That Song was his fifth number one hit in the radio charts in 2016. In the same year he took part in the Artists of Then, Now & Forever project , in which 30 country musicians sang a medley of three country classics. The single came to number 1 on the country charts. At the end of the year he also released the album Glow with Christmas carols. It reached number 2 on the country albums. His duo Baby, It's Cold Outside with Meghan Trainor became a number one hit on the adult contemporary charts.
