Paris is a small town and administrative center of the Edgar County in eastern US -amerikanischen state of Illinois . In 2000 Paris had 9,077 inhabitants.

In the 2000 census, the population was 9,077. These were distributed over 3,874 households in 2,382 families. The population density was 725.1 / km². There were 4,188 residential buildings, which corresponded to a building density of 334.5 / km².
