Hunter Hayes
Hunter Hayes (born September 9, 1991 in Breaux Bridge , Louisiana ) is an American country singer.
biography
Hunter Hayes first appeared on stage at the age of five, and when he was nine he recorded his first album, which was released by the Louisiana Red Hot label. Hayes is one of the French-born Cajuns who live in southern Louisiana and who have preserved their own musical traditions. In his youth he recorded several albums, he learned several instruments and achieved some notoriety in his home region.
At the age of 18, Hayes went to Nashville to try his hand at country music. After a respectable success when Rascal Flatts recorded a song by him for their album, he received a recording contract with Atlantic Records and worked with producer Dann Huff on his debut album, which was released under his own name as a title. At the end of 2011 it rose to number 18 on the US album charts, but quickly fell off the charts again. Even the first song release Storm Warning did not change anything , despite being placed on the Billboard Hot 100 . Only the second single Wanted brought the breakthrough: It became a number one hit in the country charts. As a result, the album rose again to the top 40 of the album charts.
Hunter Hayes was nominated in two country categories and as best newcomer for the 2013 Grammy Awards .
He got a guest appearance in the Nickelodeon series Bella and the Bulldogs .
Hunter Hayes took part in the 3rd season of The Masked Singer (United States) , where he retired on April 29, 2020 in the episode "The Battle of the Sixies" in the role of the astronaut.
