Thompson Square is an American country duo founded in Nashville .

biography

Shawna Thompson grew up in Alabama in Chatom and went about her father to the music. Keifer Thompson is from Oklahoma . Both went to the country capital Nashville around the same time in 1996 , met shortly afterwards at a singing contest and fell in love. Although they became a couple, each had their own musical career. It wasn't until the end of the 2000s that they performed as a duo and were so successful that they were signed to Stoney Creek Records in 2010 .

Their first single Let's Fight was released for promotion in June of the same year , while they were working on their debut album for the coming year. In advance of 2011, the song Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not was released at the beginning of the year . In mid-February the album with the band's name was released and it successfully climbed to number 3 of the country albums. The song reached number 1 among country songs in April and number 32 in the official single charts , and it has now sold over two million times ( double platinum ).
