Barbara Wolff

Barbara Wolff (* 1948 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( Free Voters , formerly SPD ).

From 1964 to 1966 Wolff trained as a tailor and was a district manager for an insurance company. From 1969 to 1990 she worked as a secretary and accountant. Afterwards she was treasurer in office from 1992 to 1993 and in 1994 she completed an advanced training course at the Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences . She was a member of the Presidium of the Association of Towns and Municipalities.

From 1990 Wolff was mayor of the community of Zeesen for twelve years . From 1994 to 1999 she was a member of the state parliament of Brandenburg , into which she moved through a direct mandate in the Dahme-Spreewald I state electoral district .

In 2009 she stood as a candidate for the citizens' alliance for mayoral elections in Königs Wusterhausen and received 21.6% of the vote. Since May 2011 she has been the state chairwoman of the Free Voters Association Brandenburg. On February 24, 2013, she was elected Deputy Federal Chairperson of the Federal Association of Free Voters in Lemgo ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
