The Trippet stones circle is located northeast of Blisland in Bodmin Moor , near the Stripple stones circle in Cornwall , England .

Trippet stones

The slightly oval stone circle , measuring around 31.9 meters, contains eight upright and four lying stones. The stones stand at an average distance of 3.7 m. The largest measures 1.6 meters. The fallen stones are between 2.1 and 1.6 m long. William Collings Lukis originally assumed 26 menhirs and Aubrey Burl 28 menhirs . John Barnatt considers the Trippet stones to be part of an overall concept in the western half of Bodmin Moor. The circle dates from the Late Neolithic or the Early Bronze Age .

There are several stone circles on Bodmin Moor including Fernacre , Stannon , the Stripple stones, and The Hurlers .
