Triumph Studios is an independent Dutch game developer based in Delft specializing in the development of computer strategy games and computer role-playing games in a fantasy setting. All of the company's games have in common that the player should achieve world domination. The company name is derived from this.
The company is known for the strategy game series Age of Wonders, published from 1999, and the action-adventure games Overlord and Overlord 2 , published in 2007 and 2009 respectively . The in-house creator engine is used for development.
For Age of Wonders III , which appeared in 2014, the company did without a publisher and financed the production itself. In June 2017, the takeover by the Swedish publisher Paradox Interactive , which specializes in strategy games, was announced.
A new part of the Age-of-Wonders series has been announced for August 6, 2019 with the name Age of Wonders: Planetfall , in which the plot and game world are set for the first time in space and which is the first product of the collaboration with Paradox Interactive will be.
