Trollpila

The Trollpila ( German  "Troll Arrow" - also called Bolsøya) is a pointed building stone right next to the road, east of the island church on the island of Bolsøya in the Moldefjord in Molde in the Fylke Møre og Romsdal in Norway .

The pointed and slender Iron Age stone is one of the tallest in Norway. It is about 5.1 meters high and 40 cm wide. From there you have a beautiful view of the fjord and the surrounding farms.

It's called the Troll Arrow because an ancient story said that there was a troll in the mountains further south who shot an arrow at the newly built church on the small island, but missed it.

The building stones from Nesje are nearby .
