Troopergate (from Trooper , a rank in the US police system and gate , based on Watergate ) stands for allegations and scandals about the following people:

  • Sarah Palin , who was charged with abuse of office by the Alaska Ethics Committee.
  • Eliot Spitzer , who resigned from his position as governor of New York after using the services of exclusive prostitutes.
  • Bill Clinton : "Troopergate" is the name given to the Paula Jones affair . Arkansas State Police officers Larry Patterson and Roger Perry started the affair by accusing Clinton of hiring them to get him affairs. The name is derived from Trooper , the rank of Patterson and Perry at the time.
