The first edition of the East and Central African Senior Challenge Cup 1967 , also Challenge Cup, took place from September 30th to October 10th 1967 in Kenya . Four East and Central African teams played here for the title of East and Central African champions. Host Kenya won its first title. The East and Central African Senior Challenge Cup is considered the successor to the Gossage Cup and a forerunner of the CECAFA Cup .
