The 29th edition of the CECAFA Cup , officially the 2005 Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup , took place from November 26th to December 10th, 2005 in Rwanda . Ten East and Central African teams played here for the title of East and Central African champions. Ethiopia won its fourth title.

Game mode

The ten participating countries played in two groups of five teams each. The group runner-up played against the group leader of the other group in the semi-finals. The two semi-final winners played for the title in the final. The semi-final losers played for 3rd place.

All games took place at the Stade Amahoro in Kigali .
