The 31st edition of the CECAFA Cup , officially the 2007 Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup , took place from December 8th to December 22nd, 2007 in Tanzania . Eleven East and Central African teams played here for the title of East and Central African champions. Sudan won its second title.

Game mode

The 11 participating countries played in three groups with four or three teams each. The group winners, runners-up and the two best thirds in the group qualified for the quarter-finals. The two semi-final winners played for the title in the final. The semi-final losers played for 3rd place.

Group C games took place in Arusha . Everyone else in Dar es Salaam .
