TruckStore
TruckStore is a brand of Daimler AG and belongs to the Daimler Trucks division . Under this brand, the company has been offering used commercial vehicles of all brands, ages and bodies as an independent used vehicle dealer on the market since 2001 . In addition, TruckStore offers services such as financing, leasing, rental, guarantee and service contracts and buybacks.
history
In 1999, DaimlerChrysler was faced with the problem that due to leasing, renting and the depreciation laws in force in Europe, the average life of newly purchased trucks was only two to three years. The trucks were then returned to the dealers and new ones ordered. The company wanted to counteract the resulting steadily growing oversupply of used trucks with similar criteria by realigning the Mercedes-Benz truck business .
The aim was to develop and promote own buying and selling activities with a focus on end customers (retail) . The independent TruckStore concept for the sale of trucks and services was launched in 2001 and presented at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2002 in Hanover.
Categories
TruckStore was the first used commercial vehicle dealer to introduce a clearly defined 3-level categorization of vehicles. In accordance with international standards, the used trucks are divided into the categories gold, silver and bronze.
Gold:
- Vehicle no more than four years old
- TruckStore guarantee / manufacturer guarantee
- Technically tested, according to TruckStore standards
- All repairs and services required thereafter are carried out
- General inspection according to legal requirements new
- Visually high-quality processed
- Tire tread at least 6 mm
Silver:
- Vehicle six years old or less
- TruckStore guarantee optional
- Technically tested, according to TruckStore standards
- Optically processed
- Tire tread at least 3 mm
Bronze:
- Technically checked
- Traffic safe
- Thoroughly cleaned
warranty
TruckStore has been offering a Europe-wide, cross-brand guarantee since 2008. It is available for used trucks of all brands and bodies in the gold and silver categories. With a term of twelve months, it applies to the drive train and, in the event of damage, covers repair costs without a deductible. The TruckStore guarantee is valid for all of Europe without any mileage limit.

In May 2001 the first TruckStore center was opened in Pinto, Madrid. Currently (August 2013) there are 29 TruckStores in 14 countries across Europe. The TruckStore La Coruña was recently opened in Spain. The first TruckStore outside Europe was opened in South Africa in summer 2012.
